Physical Education (P.E.)
In St. Patrick’s Secondary School leaving certificate students have 1 hour and 30 minutes of P.E. a week. The P.E. programme that is in place aligns with many aspects of the LCPE syllabus such as promoting physical activity in students, communicating with others, implementing a training programme, performance related fitness, inclusion, ethics and fair play, performance analysis and general well-being.
In 2023 Leaving Cert Exam PE was introduced as an exam subject. This is a timetabled option subject and offers students the opportunity to study the Physical Education to a more in depth level.
