What is wellbeing?

Wellbeing is an integral part of the curriculum being offered in St. Patrick’s Secondary school. A number of subjects contribute to the wellbeing indicators which underpin wellbeing in Junior Cycle.

What subjects contribute to the schools Wellbeing programme

A list of subjects which contribute to the school’s approach to wellbeing are included. These subjects overlap and complement each other to give students a rounded approach to wellbeing. 

  • SPHE – Social, Personal and Health Education
  • CSPE – Civic Social and Political Education
  • Religious Education
  • Guidance
  • Health Education
  • Physical Education

The school also supplements these subjects with school visits, talks from outside speakers and engaging in initiatives such as the Amber flag, Green School, shoe box appeal, Irish Red Cross collection, Student Council etc.
